Abstract
A line of metastable equilibrium between two amorphous semiconductor phases was determined resistometrically in the T-P diagram of the Zn41Sb59 alloy in the temperature range from 17 to 75 degrees C. The amorphous nature of b oth phases was examined by x-ray diffraction at high pressures using a diam ond-anvil; cell and synchrotron radiation. The starting bulk amorphous samp le was prepared by solid-state transformation of the quenched crystalline h igh-pressure delta-Zn41Sb59 phase during its heating at ambient pressure.
