W. Kozminski, Application of spatially resolved NMR spectroscopy for high resolution spectra of heterogeneous samples, POL J CHEM, 74(8), 2000, pp. 1185-1189
An improved method for acquisition of high resolution NMR spectra, exclusiv
ely in an arbitrarily chosen volume element of the sample, is presented. Th
e proposed pulse sequence utilizes the Double Pulsed Field Gradient Selecti
ve Echo (DPFGSE) element, that offers a high selectivity and superior phase
and baseline properties of the resulted spectra. The discussed experiment
is applicable in all NMR spectrometers, equipped with at least a single-axi
s PFG accessory. The effectiveness of the proposed technique is demonstrate
d by acquisition of H-1 NMR spectra from different volume elements of a het
erogeneous CDCL3/D2O sample.
