Abstract
Two new species of freshwater shrimps, Caridina shilinica and C. curta from Yunnan Province, southern China, are described. The former is characterise d by the long rostrum, long stylocerite and the large egg size. The latter is distinctive because of the short appendix masculina of the male second p leopod.
