Abstract
The correlation of the state of iron in supported Fe/Al2O3 catalysts with c atalytic properties in H2S oxidation, studied by Mossbauer spectroscopy, in dicates that the Fe oxide particles promote the formation of sulfur, wherea s FeS2 catalyzes the H2S oxidation to SO2.
