Abstract
A PVC membrane based on bis-pyridine tetramide macrocycle exhibits a good r esponse for silver ion over a wide concentration range (1.0 x 10(-1) -4.0 x 10(-5) mol l(-1)). The electrode has a relatively fast response time and c an be used for more than 5 months without observing any divergence. High se lectivity for Ag+ ions over that of Na+, Kf, Ca2+, Sr2+, Pb2+ and Hg2+ have been observed. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
