Abstract
Vinylogous iminium stilts from gamma-aminoenamines react with triethylphosp hite to afford amino phosphonates in moderate to good yields. The latter ar e easily converted to alpha-substituted aminoallylphosphonates that can yie ld alpha-substituted aminoallylphosphonates on reaction with butyllitium an d a series of electrophiles.
