Beneficiation of coal using dynawhirlpool separator

Experiments wire carried out to study the response of Dynawhirlpool separat or (DWP) treating coal. The variables studied were vortex finder diameter a nd feed medium density at three different levels. The effect of variables o n the performance of DWP were analysed in terms of yield and ash content of clean coal. The performance factors such as cut density and Ecart probable error were estimated and correlated with the variables studied. From the o btained results it was noted that DWP results are nearer to the washability data.
