Wilms' tumor - Surgical considerations and controversies

Although the therapeutic objectives for Wilms' tumor are to maximize outcom es and minimize treatment morbidity, there are some controversial issues re lated to different therapeutic protocols. In this article, the authors addr ess some of the issues such as the roles of tumor biopsy, preoperative chem otherapy, contralateral exploration, and partial nephrectomy.
