Abstract
Presented is the symmetrical occurrence of supplementary second premolars i n the upper jaw of a red deer stag. The anomaly is thought to result from a genetically caused formation of supernumerary tooth germ cells at the succ essional dental laminae of Loth P-2 or the splitting of the early anlagen o f the P-2.
