Abstract
We have investigated the structure of the archetypical fragile glass f ormer Ca0.4K0.6(NO3)(1.4) (CKN) around the liquid-glass transition tem perature, T-g, using neutron diffraction. Gradual changes of the struc ture factor were observed in the Q-range 1-5 Angstrom(-1) on passing t he glass transition temperature. The observations are tentatively attr ibuted to density effects and also to changes in the orientational cor relations of nitrate ions.
