Abstract
An aerodynamics/electromagnetics bidisciplinary optimization method, which is the key technique to realize the integral design of aerodynamic/stealthy performances, is discussed. The flow field and the electromagnetic field a re given by an Euler solver and a time domain Maxwell equations solver, res pectively. The radar cross section (RCS) is then evaluated with the equival ence principle and Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT). The multilevel optimi zation method (MLO) and linearly combined weighted object optimization meth od (LWO) are mainly investigated and applied to the aerodynamic/stealthy op timal design. For reducing the requirement of the experience to determining the weighted coefficient distribution, an auto-adjusted weighted object op timization method (AWO) is proposed in the present paper. Numerical example s show that the optimized performance is improved significantly compared to the original one. The effectiveness and robustness are also demonstrated.
