The crystal structure and the magnetic state of the La1-xBaxMnO3, La1-
xBaxCoO3 and LaCo1-xMnxO3 systems have been measured for electrical re
sistivity, AC susceptibility and neutron diifraction measurements. The
samples with x = 0.2-0.3 were found to exibit the maximum values of t
he magnetoresistance, Curie temperature and average magnetic moment of
3d ions, The experimental results obtained can be explained in terms
of indirect magnetic-exchange interaction taken into account for varia
tion of Mn(Co)-O interatomic distances and concentration of Mn4+(Co4+)
-ions.
