Abstract
We present neutron inelastic scattering data on the high-T-c supercond uctor La2-x-ySrxREyCuO4 with RE = Nd and Dy. All samples show anomalie s which we interpret as correlation between the magnetic moments of RE - and Cu-ions. For La1.7Nd0.3CuO4, in which the Cu-moments are clearly ordered below 308 K, a magnon-like inelastic excitation occurs below about 70 K. This inelastic intensity is clearly due to scattering on t he magnetic moment of the Nd-ions.
