MAGNETIC-PROPERTIES OF TB DOPED IN YBA2CU3OX

We present inelastic neutron scattering results on the temperature dep endence of the magnetic response of Tb in YBa2Cu3Ox. Two magnetic comp onents were observed in the spectra; a quasi-elastic (Lorentzian line shape) and an elastic (resolution-limited) contribution, but no crysta l field transition was observed as expected. The temperature dependenc e of the full-width at half-maximum (Gamma) of the quasi-elastic contr ibution can be well described by a power law with an exponent of 2.6+/ -0.1. No anomalies were found at either T-c nor above.
