Abstract
Data from published case and group studies bear on the trace deletion hypot hesis. The deficit-lesion correlational literature does not support Grodzin sky's claim that lesions in an around Broca's area inevitably lead to compr ehension deficits specifically related to coindexation of traces or his cla im that other lesions spare this function.
