Abstract
In a former AP-FIM investigation the decomposition of an Fe-30 at% Cr- 14 at% Co alloy at 525 degrees C was found to be spinodal in character . The objective of this investigation was to verify this finding for t he same alloy and ageing temperature by means of small- and wide-angle polarized neutron scattering. The extent of the decomposition reactio n was derived from the measured development of the integrated intensit y with time. The spinodal character of the reaction could not be confi rmed.
