Abstract
This study was aimed at identifying some concepts involved in the cognitive modulation of naturalistic Musical Performance Anxiety (MPA) episodes amon g undergraduate music students and at elaborating an alternative to psychol ogical apprehension in regard to MPA. Ther research was exploratory and con sisted of eight case studies. Data were collected and analyzed through tria ngulation processes. Several implications for pedagogical practice are outl ined.
