Abstract
Computer-based Monte Carle simulations have been carried out in order to assess the performance of a neutron powder diffractometer which mak es use of the time-of-flight monochromatisation technique. This has be en achieved by also simulating a crystal monochromator instrument to a ct as a benchmark calculation.
