Abstract
A heatable high-pressure neutron powder diffraction cell has been deve loped on the basis of the well-known McWhan piston-cylinder type, Ir o perates up to 700 K and 15 kbar, simultaneously. The cell has successf ully been applied for the investigation of p/T phase diagrams as well as for standard high-pressure work. In order to extend the accessible range of pressure and temperature, a new cell has been designed. We ho pe to attain at least 35 kbar and 700-1000 K with this new cell.
