Abstract
Objective To study the difterentiation-inducing effect of hydroxycamptothec in (HCPT) on hepatoma Hep G2 cells. Methods 3-[4, 5-dimethylthial-2-yl]-3, 5-diphenyltetrazolinium bromide (MTT ) colorimetric method was used for determining HepG2 cells viability. Alpha fetoprotein (AFP) and albumin (ALB) levels were determined with Elisa Kits. Results The AFP secretion of HCPT-treated cells was reduced by 44.0% - 49.2 % while the ALE level was increased markedly. Conclusion Hydroxycamptothecin can induce human hepatoma Hep G2 cells to di fferentiation.
