D.C. conductivity of the ferroelectric BaHFO4 is measured acid is found to
lie between usual conductivities of semiconductor and insulator. its temper
ature dependence shows intrinsic conduction in defective crystals due to H ions. The a.c. conductivity calculated from the measured dielectric consta
nt follows sigma similar to omega(154), a power law. Frequency of 20 kHz re
solves the resistivity peak of a.c. conduction into two Gaussians. The ln s
igma vs f plots at different temperatures show an exponential dependence an
d existence of a focal point.
