Ascorbic acid in potatoes can be analysed with the method of Boehringer Man
nheim (Beutler und Beinstengl, 1980) with a continuous-flow-analyser and fi
lterphotometer. The testkit of Boehringer Mannheim is suitable for the anal
ysis, if the reagents are slightly modified. The exactness was tested with
a standard addition method, the variation of the expected values was less t
han 1 percent. The results of the analyses showed high precision.
