Criterion for reducing power consumption by means of ratio-cut circuit partitioning

With the development of mobile communication and portable electronic device s, minimising the average power dissipation has become a primary concern fo r very large scale integrated (VLSI) circuit design. The authors map a circ uit into a weighted acyclic graph (WAG), and propose a criterion for partit ioning the WAG into two disjoint graphs with a minimum ratio-cut cost.
