D. Mertens et D. Vanhoenacker-janvier, Instantaneous frequency scaling ratio statistics for scintillation during rain, ELECTR LETT, 36(16), 2000, pp. 1424-1425
The intensity of amplitude scintillation observed during rain is examined a
t two pairs of satellite-Olympus' beacon frequencies. The derived frequency
scaling ratio statistics are presented and compared with the long-term the
oretical scaling factor valid for turbulence-induced scintillation. The ana
lysis indicates both the deviations of the experimental ratios about the me
an level and their dependence upon the fluctuation severity.
