Abstract
Application of the TUNEL method and immunostaining cell-specific markers to a whole isolated glomerulus in combination with confocal laser scan micros copy can be used to analyze cell turnover including apoptosis within glomer uli. Furthermore, the technologies can be used to deepen our understanding of glomerular cell biology and pathophysiology at the cellular and molecula r levels. Copyright (C) 2000 S. Karger AG, Basel.
