C. Moreau et G. Duhamel, REPRODUCTION OF COASTAL FISHES OF THE GUL F OF MORBIHAN (KERGUELEN ISLANDS), Bulletin de la Societe zoologique de France, 122(1), 1997, pp. 45-57
The marine demersal ichthyofauna of the Kerguelen Islands (49 degrees
S-70 degrees E) presents a high rate of endemism and a low specific di
versity (DUHAMEL, 1985). In the Gulf of Morbihan, protected from tidal
currents and communicating with open sea only by a pass, these popula
tions were sampled by a << Bongo >> net for ichthyoplankton and by tra
mmel-nets for the sampling of juveniles and adults.
