New thoughts about an old eikonal problem

Two different methods of approach, currently under investigation, are sugge sted for calculating the eikonal function corresponding to quark-quark scat tering at very high energies and small momentum transfers. These methods il lustrate the realistic, dynamical complexities inherent in QCD scattering p roblems.
