This article describes the anatomy, incidence, and diagnosis of distal bice
ps tendon rupture. The operative management of acute and chronic injury is
detailed with information regarding one- and two-incision techniques. The a
uthors' preferred method of treatment for acute and chronic distal biceps t
endon injury is a single anterior incision using suture anchors to secure t
he tendon to the proximal radius. This method is described. The success of
this method of treatment, complications, and preferred rehabilitation are d
iscussed.
