Abstract
The up-down asymmetry of the type I plasma waves in the equatorial ele ctrojet region during daytime is investigated. It is shown that the as ymmetry is exhibited not only in the vertical direction but also is ma nifested in the oblique direction (24.6 degrees off zenith). The resul ts further indicate the effect of neutral winds on the phase velocitie s of type I plasma waves.
