Abstract
Apoptosis represents a critical process in the immune system, in tissue mod eling, in cell homeostasis, and in defense against pathogens. Here, Andreas Strasser and colleagues detail the comprehensive studies carried out at th e Hall Institute into this phenomenon, and highlight the identification of molecular control mechanisms of apoptosis pathways thai they have made.
