The synthesis and solid-state structures of [HB(3,5-(CF3)(2)PZ)(3)]Ag(OC2H4
) and [HB(3,5-(CF3)(2)Pz)(3)]Ag-(SC3H6) are presented. The propylene sulfid
e ligand shows a relatively large tilt toward the [HB(3,5-(CF3)(2)-Pz)(3)]A
g moiety compared to the ethylene oxide ligand. [HB(3,5-(CF3)(2)Pz)(3)]Ag(O
C2H4) and [HB(3,5-(CF3)(2)Pz)(3)]Ag(SC3H6) are rare examples of compounds f
eaturing metal-epoxide and metal-thiirane bonding.
