REVERSIBLE MAGNETIZATION MODELS FOR MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIA

Energetically correct hysteresis computations require a state-dependen t locally reversible magnetization component. Two such models have bee n proposed and are compared in this paper. It is found that they diffe r in the computed reversible susceptibility. An experimental analysis is developed to differentiate between the models. This method is used to analyze the validity of the two models and shows that experimental data supports one model but not the other.
