Abstract
We report the first measurements of resonantly enhanced attachment to metal lic clusters in a crossed beam experiment, the negative ions being detected directly in a time-of-fiight mass spectrometer. The implications of our re sults are discussed in the context of recent theory. Capture can occur eith er non-resonantly, or in a process enhanced by a collective oscillation of the delocalized electrons.
