Abstract
Surface-enhanced Raman scattering from 2,2'-bipyridine adsorbed on nickel i s detected without roughening procedure of the surfaces. The SERS-activatio n is assured by depositing silver colloidal layer onto the metal with adher ing ligand. The SERS spectrum closely corresponds to the Raman spectrum of the NI(II) coordination compound. Copyright (C) 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd .
