Abstract
The title compound [(Cp2PbCpNa)-Na-thf]. 0.5thf 1, obtained from the additi on reaction of Cp2Pb with [(CpNa)-Na-thf . thf], provides the first opportu nity to assess the structural impact of internal donation on aggregation wi thin a p block metal cyclopentadienide anion system; the result being the a doption of an unusual polymeric sheet structure composed of [(Cp2PbCpNa)-Na -thf](3) rings.
