Abstract
The synthesis of dimethyl 2-acetoxy-2-(2,4-diiodo-5-aminophenyl)ethylphosph onate and dimethyl 2-acetoxy-2-(2,4,6-triiodo-3,5-diaminophenyl)ethylphosph onate is described. Several amido and peptidic derivatives of these two com pounds were prepared. These products are composed of a combination of struc tural/functional moieties which pave the way for their potential applicatio n as non-ionic selective X-ray contrast agents.
