Abstract
Reaction cross sections for or-particles have been measured for Be-9, C-12, O-16, Si-28, Ca-40, Ni-58.60, Sn-112,Sn-116,Sn-120,Sn-124, and Pb-208 at 1 17.2, 163.9 and 192.4 MeV and for the lighter nuclei also at 69.6 MeV. The results are compared with predictions from optical model calculations using phenomenological, global and double-folded optical potentials. Comparisons are also made with predictions using the Glauber model approach suggested by Bertsch, Brown and Sagawa. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B,V. All rights res erved.
