Determining the dispersions of the fifth- and seventh-order nonlinear optical susceptibilities of a poly(4-BCMU) film through electroabsorption spectroscopy
K. Yang et al., Determining the dispersions of the fifth- and seventh-order nonlinear optical susceptibilities of a poly(4-BCMU) film through electroabsorption spectroscopy, OPTICS LETT, 25(16), 2000, pp. 1186-1188
The dispersions of the fifth- and seventh-order nonlinear optical susceptib
ilities, chi(113333)((5)) and chi(11333333)((7)) respectively, of a polydia
cetylene film, poly(4-BCMU), are determined through electroabsorption spect
roscopy. To our knowledge this is the first time that a spectrum of seventh
-order nonlinear optical susceptibility has been obtained by means of elect
ro-optic measurements. (C) 2000 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: 190.
