Abstract
Primary and secondary tert-butyldimethylsilyl and trimethylsilyl ethers are oxidized to their corresponding carbonyl compounds with zinc chlorochromat e nonahydtate (ZCCNH) in dichloromethane or under solvent free conditions i n good yields, For comparison, we have also studied the reactions with pyri dinium chlorochromate (PCC) under similar reaction conditions.
