We report the results from a magnetization study on RUSr2EuCu2O8. This comp
ound has recently been found to exhibit the coexistence of superconductivit
y and magnetic order. We show that the low-field data can be interpreted;in
terms of antiferromagnetic order with a small ferromagnetic component (sim
ilar to 0.05 mu(B)/Ru at 5 K) consistent with a recent neutron-diffraction
study on RuSr2GdCu2O8. However, the high-field data imply a significant fer
romagnetic component.
