Abstract
A device of a new type-a germanium detector with an internal amplification- is proposed. Having the effective threshold of about 10 eV, the detector op ens up a fresh opportunity for investigating dark matter, measuring the neu trino magnetic moment, exploring coherent neutrino scattering off nuclei, a nd studying the solar-neutrino problem. The design of the germanium detecto r with an internal amplification and prospects for its use are described. ( C) 2000 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica".
