Abstract
A recently developed condition-based maintenance model is described which u tilizes reliability data combined with condition-monitoring measurements to predict the remaining useful life of critical components in a hot strip st eel mill. The results obtained from case studies are presented which indica te how the model can be used as part of a condition-based maintenance strat egy.
