A rheological model for the lubricant is necessary for a realistic predicti
on of elastohydrodynamic (EHD) lubrication. It has now been accepted that t
he Bair and Winer's or Johnson and Tevaawerk's rheological models are often
preferable in analysis. Starting from these two rheological models, this p
aper presents a quasi-empirical alternative method to determine some rheolo
gical parameters such as: Ree-Eyring shear stress tau(0), limiting shear st
ress tau(L) and sheer modulus G(infinity). The paper uses the experimental
data from Ref. [1] and the analytical results obtained by using the propose
d method are then compared with other computation methods from literature.
