Abstract
High level of MDR TB among HIV-infected portugues inmates is demonstrated. Moreover, the significant high-risk predisposed population directly involve d, the presence of optimal conditions in the correctional facilities for TB spread and unsatisfactory TB control in this particular setting, should be stressed, too. Universal application of DOT in the correctional system and special ambiance control measures in HPSJD are prioritary, in order to rev erte this situation.
