A. Rocher et al., VIH treatment: complexity versus compliance, SEVENTH EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON CLINICAL ASPECTS AND TREATMENT OF HIV-INFECTION, 1999, pp. 115-118
The concordance between quantity of dispensed medication to 417 HIV infecte
d patients coming to our out patient department of the pharmacy service and
the date of the next dispensation was used to estimate the compliance. The
49.6% patients were discontinued the treatment. A significant relation was
shown between the number of antiretrovirals wich composes the therapeutic
combination and the compliance but there is no relationship between the com
pliance and the frequency of dosages.
