Leishmaniasis is a visceral, cutaneous and mucosal disease, that results fr
om multiplication of Leishmania within the mononuclear phagocytes, and usua
lly caused in Mediterranean regions by Leishmania infantum. Here, its inter
est was renewed, due to the high prevalence, special clinical presentation
and therapeutic difficulties in HIV infected patients. We have looked for t
hose aspects.
