Abstract
The synthesis of a series of phenol ethers and 4-triisopropylsilyloxymethyl phenol ethers and their eta(6)-tricarbonylchromium(0) complexes are reporte d. The directed lithiation of these followed by quenching with a series of electrophiles gave access to a wide range of functionalised complexes for u se in synthesis. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd.
