Human judgment in a social context

The development of Social Psychology as an empirical epistemology is discus sed in the light of paradigm changes in Experimental Psychology. Different construals of the human ("Menschenbilder") are identified which have guided social psychological theorizing. For illustration, own research findings a re presented and discussed.
