The new genus Allopygaea, close to Paraleucophenga, is erected for three ne
w African species, bicolor, sp. n., inexspectata, sp. n. and microphalla, s
p. n. plus one other species not yet named and known by one female only. Th
e terminalia of the new genus show some characters which distinguish it fro
m the genera Paraleucophenga and Leucophenga. Detailed description, analysi
s and interpretation of the components of the terminalia of the new genus a
re undertaken in comparison with the terminalia of Paraleucophenga.
