Abstract
We report on the influence of the length of thiol alkyl chains used to coat silver sulfide particles on the self-organization of nanoparticles in mono layers. The variation of the average distance between particles with the le ngth of the thio derivatives alkyl chain is derived from direct measurement s of TEM patterns. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
